Why is Donald Trump attracting such a huge support?

Picture
Donald Trump is the 2016 Republican front runner presidential candidate. Even though at the onset of the Republican 2016 presidential primary, many of us would have predicted he would not do well in the primary election, Donald Trump has proved contrary to millions of Americans predictions. Rather than fading away, he has emerged as the emboldened current front runner in a Republican presidential election primary contest that has now shrunk to only 3 candidates. Day-by-day he seems to get stronger and closer to clinching the GOP nomination. Now GOP establishment wonders on how this happened and even by far confused on how to stop Donald Trump from clinching the GOP 2016 presidential election nomination.

Perhaps you too wonders why Donald Trump is attracting such huge number of solid supporters. Well there have been many ignored pointers to this outcome. American frustration on Washington insider leadership is one of those pointers.

Today many Americans are tired of how our elected officials carry out business in Washington. Rather than putting the interest of the general public before their personal interest, majority of them place their re-election at greater priority than the interest of the public that elected them. Republican blocks reasonable bills put forward by Democrat from becoming law and vice versa. Both parties antagonize each other and hardly get anything done. Today business in Washington focus more on party re-election rather than focusing on providing answers to issues facing the public. No wonder the public is throwing more support to back up a Washington outsider who in my opinion has no detailed policy that deserve such support. I think the main intent of such support is to send a clear message to Washington again.

I strongly thought that the Washington establishment should have learnt a big lesson from the election of Barrack Obama in 2008. Super PACs have been known to have a big impact on every election in this country. There is nothing wrong in supporting a candidate financially, but what is wrong is the fact that the rich use the power of their wealth to force on us their candidate of choice. This tradition has given the wealthy the opportunity to put those that will protect their key interest in power at the expense of the public. The election of president Barrack Obama over Hilary Clinton in Democratic primary election ends the reign of the power of election super PACs and rolled in a new era of public awakening marked by the full expression of the public power in the election of public officials.

The action of our elected officials in Washington, who seem to be eluded to the public message in 2008, led to president Barrack Obama re-election in 2012. His election back to the office in 2012, despite his low approval rating before 2012 election and the super PACs crushing advertisement, should have thought Washington establishment a lesson and clearly called their attention to the public election awakening. However they decided to be delusional until the realty unfold in front of their eyes.

In their confusion, I believe they will be asking one another how did this happen. Well the reckless behavior of those elected into office to serve public interest should be blame for the reign of Donald Trump. I do hope they will embrace this new political era and diligently and cautiously resolve this current Republican Party crisis amicable before it leads to the downfall of the party.

Other pointers will be discussed in future posting. Respectful comments are welcomed.
